This platform is free to use for your IoT project data. It will become accessible by our android app and this web page for data viewing. Please use this platform wisely.

Tutorial

The basic tutorial of Comio.


  • Registering your account

    1. Register your account by providing your email and note (to tell what the project is or who responsible for the data) in the 'Register For Token' panel.
    2. Open your registered email to get the token.
    3. You can now use the service by providing your email and token to get data from Comio.


  • Check you data

    1. Check your data on Comio by providing your email and token in the 'Check data' panel.
    2. Your data should be displayed int the 'Data' panel.
    3. It should display your data and note with the last data update timestamp.


  • Editting note

    1. Edit your note by click on 'Edit Note' option on the top of page.
    2. If you are using mobile phones, the option should be in the '3 horizontal line in a box' button on the top of the page.
    3. Provide your email and the note to be use and press 'Edit Notes' to change your note.


  • Retrieve forgotten token

    1. Retrieve your token by click on 'Retrieve Token' option on the top of page.
    2. If you are using mobile phones, the option should be in the '3 horizontal line in a box' button on the top of the page.
    3. Provide your email and press 'Retrieve' to receive a new token for your account.


  • Remove account

    1. Retrieve your account from comio by click on 'Remove Account' option on the top of page.
    2. If you are using mobile phones, the option should be in the '3 horizontal line in a box' button on the top of the page.
    3. Provide your email and press 'Remove Account' to remove and deactivate your account from Comio.


  • Using Comio Android application

    1. Redirect to Comio application page by click on 'Download Apps' option on the top of page.
    2. If you are using mobile phones, the option should be in the '3 horizontal line in a box' button on the top of the page.
    3. Install the apps.
    4. Press refresh button on the bottom right of the screen to open a login prompt
    5. Enter your credentials and tick remember me to save your credentials on your smartphone.
    6. Press login and the login prompt will be dismissed. Press the refresh button again to fetch the data.
    7. If it says 'Invalid credentials..', please logout by clicking the 3 dotted button on the top right of the screen and press 'Log Out'.
    8. Repeat step 4 and so to continue.


  • Microcontroller (MCU) manuals.
    Only a certain MCU boards are supported at the moment which available as below.


  • WEMOS D1 (Tested)

    1. Open Arduino IDE.
    2. Go to File > Preferences.
    3. Add "http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json" in the "Additional Board Manager" URLs textbox and press "OK".
    4. Go to Tools > Board > Boards Manager.
    5. Search for "esp8266", install the board and press "Close".
    6. Go to Tools > Board.
    7. Select "WeMos D1 R2 & mini".
    8. Use the code provided below and upload to your WEMOS D1.
    9. Check your Serial Monitor to check your WEMOS progress.


  • Arduino UNO (Tested)

    1. Make the connection as stated; ESP8266 TX --> Pin 7, ESP8266 RX --> Arduino Pin 6, ESP8266 EN --> Arduino 3.3V, ESP8266 VCC --> Arduino 3.3V, ESP8266 GND --> Arduino GND
    2. Download WifiEsp library: Github
    3. Open Arduino IDE.
    4. Go to Sketch > Include Library > Add .ZIP Library
    5. Navigate to your downloaded WifiEsp library as stated on step 2 and press "OK".
    6. Use the code provided below and upload to your Arduino UNO / Mega.
    7. Check your Serial Monitor to check your Arduino UNO / MEGA progress.
